WHAT IS WEVA?

WEVA is the first professional, national venue association for wedding and event venue owners, operators and managers.

This group is for you if you own a venue, manage a venue, work at a venue, or are in the process of opening a venue.

Join to get your questions answered, learn about how to run and manage your business better, attend some events, and make likeminded friends along the way, all while leveling up your business!

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS?

To become a part of WEVA you need to be a wedding or event venue owner, operator, or manager… or currently active in a VENUE role. More specifically… a Venue Manager, Venue Sales Manager, Venue Coordinator etc employed directly by a venue. We also allow those who are starting venues to join.

If you’re a vendor providing services to venues (like photography, wedding planning, hiring/recruiting, web design, insurance, legal, tax, etc), a coach, consultant, or a company selling anything to venues, you aren’t the right fit for regular membership BUT we invite you to apply to be an educator or sponsor our association.

As for other restrictions…once you’re a member we have confidentiality and strict no-jerk, no-spam, no-dishonesty policies that are enforced, PLUS we really care a lot about values and unleveling the industry! Regularly violating values may be cause for having your membership revoked.

CAN I EXPENSE THIS OR WRITE IT OFF ON TAXES?

Absolutely!** Work-related education costs are fully deductible when they add value to your business and increase your expertise! Often, if you are employed, self-paid education expenses are tax deductible. Your employer can also pay up to $5,250 per year for you in professional development without it counting as income!**

Tax deductible career education?? Yes please!
